Full-time
Electrical Engineer
Zenno is pioneering scalable technology for sustainable space exploration. We’re developing the world’s most powerful and efficient magnetic actuators using superconducting electromagnets.
We maintain a high launch cadence—flying at least one mission per year—and our long-term vision is a future where intelligent machines operate autonomously in space, free from reliance on Earth-based resources.
We’re now expanding our technology to enable fully autonomous magnetic close-proximity operations and formation flight, unlocking capabilities that have never been possible before.
The role
We’re seeking a driven and innovative electrical engineer to own the full lifecycle of high-performance hardware systems, from architecture through to integration and delivery.
You’ll work on:
Designing, building and testing of electronic circuits, including novel designs and with a focus on power electronics
End-to-end development: requirements → schematics/layout → prototype build → test/verification → iteration
Systems requiring high reliability, low noise/EMC, and practical manufacturability (DFM)
Component-level rework and repairs
Bringing hazard/risk thinking into designs: FMEA/HAZOP style analysis and safety-in-design practices
Developing solutions for component sourcing / technical trade-offs
We don’t expect you to be an expert at everything. You’ll need to be comfortable trying out new things and asking questions or for help.
You will work collaboratively with engineers of various disciplines and participate in all aspects of electrical hardware development.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
10+ years of relevant experience. We highly value time spent in fast-moving, execution-focused teams and product-driven cultures
Strong, hands-on power electronics experience
Proven ability to plan and execute experimental testing
Expert in Altium, including schematic capture and PCB layout
Proficient in circuit analysis using SPICE or similar simulation tools
Experienced with standard lab equipment
Preferred
Design of magnetic systems
Familiarity with space-grade components and related screening/qualification processes
EMC / pre-compliance methods, and experience preparing hardware for certification-style testing
Embedded control for power electronics
Production test + reliability thinking and experience
Our culture
We’re a tight, focused startup where you’ll have real ownership and impact. You’ll be the expert in your domain, working closely with a collaborative and mission-driven team.
If you want to help build a radically different future in space, one powered by superconductors and driven by autonomy, we’d love to hear from you.
