The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee a small team of warehouse staff, providing leadership and guidance to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance. Key responsibilities include planning and executing warehouse activities, supporting daily tasks, and routing orders through Unleashed.

This role will involve managing inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation, with reporting responsibilities to the Head Office finance team. Additionally, resolving operational issues and procuring warehouse consumables are essential duties, underscoring the role's importance in maintaining efficiency and safety in warehouse operations.

The Warehouse Supervisor role is ideal for someone with proven leadership skills and experience in warehouse operations and inventory management. Experience in both domestic and international logistics is essential.

Key Responsibilities, Objectives & Results

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

· Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

· Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

· Foster a safe and inclusive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and promotes adherence to health and safety regulations.

Warehouse Management:

· Oversee planning of warehouse activities.

· Develop and embed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and returns handling.

· Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of workplace safety.

· Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction within the warehouse.

· Implement and enforce strict quality control measures.

· Procurement of warehouse consumables.

Inventory Management:

· Inventory Management - maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes, reporting back to Head Office finance team in New Zealand.

· Routing of orders through shipped stage in Unleashed.

· Implement inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies and facilitate efficient order fulfilment.

Operations, Shipping and Distribution:

· Oversee the shipping and distribution activities, including order picking, packing, and shipping of products to customers, dealers, and distributors across the country.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain efficient processes for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

· Coordinate with regional warehouses and logistics partners to ensure seamless inter-departmental and inter-regional operations.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices related to shipping and distribution operations.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with various internal departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination and communication across the supply chain.

· Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as logistics partners, suppliers, and service providers.

· Act as a point of contact for escalated issues, problem-solving, and ensuring timely resolution of warehouse-related challenges.

Experience/Requirements:

· Qualification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).

· Proven experience (5+ years) in operations, US and international shipping and distribution management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

· Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of driving performance and achieving operational targets.

· Knowledge and experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and distribution processes, as well as expertise in supply chain management principles and practices.

· Strong understanding of the EV motorbike industry, including emerging trends, logistics, and regulatory requirements.

· Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant software tools.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement, analyze complex problems, and implement effective solutions.

· Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills to foster strong internal and external relationships.

· Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Work primarily in a warehouse and office setting.

· Work environment may involve exposure to various weather conditions.

· Must frequently be on your feet, walking, standing, and moving around the warehouse.

· work schedule may include day, evening, or weekend shifts, depending on the needs of the business.

· May occasionally need to lift, carry, and move heavy boxes, pallets, and equipment, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

· Ability to bend, stoop, or kneel.

· Occasionally operate machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

· Safety is a top priority in the warehouse environment, and it is essential to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment. You will also need to be aware of your surroundings and be able to react quickly to any potential hazards or emergencies.
