Senior Talent & People Experience Partner
Auror
About Auror
At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.
Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.
In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.
We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.
The Role
At Auror, we’re on a mission to be the best place for people to do their best work. This role isn’t just about hiring great people, you’ll be shaping the entire journey from the moment a candidate first hears about Auror until they’re fully thriving in our team. We believe the strongest partnerships with our leaders and teammates are built from day one and you’ll be that trusted advisor who sets the tone for a culture of high care and high performance.
As our Senior Talent & People Experience (PX) Partner supporting our North American team, you’ll genuinely love the art and science of talent. Finding the right fit excites you, and you take pride in seeing people you’ve hired succeed. You thrive in a role where you can switch contexts often, enjoying the variety of influencing senior stakeholders, partnering on PX initiatives, and keeping a pulse on our people’s experience.
You’re a natural relationship builder, confident in navigating conversations with people of all levels of seniority, influencing with credibility, and guiding decisions with professionalism and care. What makes this role especially rewarding is the breadth: you’ll work across the full PX lifecycle at a company known for its strong culture - this is a true end-to-end PX role, not just one piece of the puzzle. And you won’t be going it alone, you’ll join a supportive global team that values diverse skills and perspectives, and together you’ll build foundations of trust that help our people do their best work.
Practically this will involve:
Talent
- Partnering with leaders to deeply understand hiring needs and priorities across North America.
- Leading proactive, innovative sourcing and recruitment to attract outstanding talent at all levels.
- Designing engaging candidate experiences that reflect Auror’s culture of high care and high performance.
- Building diverse and inclusive talent pipelines, supporting internal mobility, and enabling growth for existing team members.
- Driving Auror’s employer brand and talent community presence in North America.
- Owning and continuously improving selection processes, assessments, and recruitment technologies.
- Coaching and upskilling leaders on interviewing tactics and decision-making.
People Experience (PX)
- Partnering with PX teammates and leaders on initiatives across onboarding, DEIB, wellbeing, people development, and workplace experience.
- Supporting our North American team with employment agreements, compensation philosophy, and job level strategy.
- Partnering with leaders to confidently navigate performance management by setting clear expectations and ensuring the right balance of care, support, and accountability.
- Acting as a trusted advisor on people relations, guiding individual contributors and leaders through complex conversations with care and professionalism.
- Ensuring compliance with local requirements (health & safety, leave, payroll reporting).
- Streamlining and administering people processes to make Auror a great place to work for everyone.
This role reports to Siân Govind, Director of Talent & PX.
At Auror, I lead our Talent & People Experience team with the goal of making Auror the best place for people to do their best work.
I’ve spent the last decade in People & Talent, working with technology companies around the world. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to build teams across five continents. Having seen firsthand both the complexities and the rewards of diverse workforces, I’m a big believer in creating workplaces where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
Outside of Auror, I also run my side hustle - BeHeard, where I partner with growing companies that want to take an intentional approach to building equitable workplace cultures. And at home, I’m a proud mum of two energetic boys (6 and 4) who definitely keep me busy!
