Auror
About Auror
At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to stop theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 billion problem globally. It’s high-volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.
Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good and prioritise privacy by design principles.
In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.
The Role
We’re on the hunt for an A-player Account Executive to join our growing team. Working directly with our Senior Director of Sales, Joe, to manage your own sales cycle from nurturing leads to closing deals as we expand our customer base and build lasting partnerships with the biggest names in retail across the UK and Ireland.
As our first Account Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth in this exciting market where we are revolutionising how retailers fight crime with our cutting-edge SaaS platform. Working closely with our VP of Sales, and collaborating with our Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams, you’ll take ownership of building strong relationships with retail and loss prevention leaders across the industry.
What You’ll Do:
- You’ll manage the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through to contract negotiation, deal closure and onboarding.
- Define and execute sales plans to meet and exceed revenue target through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
- Build trust and credibility with prospects and current clients by actively listening, understanding their unique needs, and offering customised solutions.
- Design and deliver compelling sales presentations that convey the magic that Auror brings to our retail partners.
- Collaborate and win as a team – You’ll compete, but above that, you’ll collaborate, you’ll share what is working, you’ll help the team win, you’ll take on projects outside of closing deals.
This role reports to Joe Sentance, Senior Director of Retail Solutions - UK & Europe
I’ve spent the last decade managing great teams in Defence, National Security and Public Safety. I’ve seen great people tackle prickly problems and defy what the masses call possible.
When I come to work at Auror every day, I’m motivated by helping people do their best work and genuinely making a difference to our partners. I’m target-driven to my core and hate to lose. Together we’ll be the tip of the spear for Auror in the UK and Ireland, I truly believe we have a chance to change an industry, and we’ll have fun whilst we’re doing it.
When I’m not working, you can find me running around London, testing my questionable cooking skills or fine-tuning a newly found passion for gardening.
