At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to stop theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the UK, Australasia and North America.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. As a company we’ve built a high-performing, positive culture with a focus on providing an inclusive environment for diversity. If you're excited about reducing crime and building safer Communities, for everyone, then we want you in our team.

The Role
Our Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager is a dynamic team player, who will leverage their honed relationship-building skills and commercial acumen to build, grow and maintain best-in-class partnerships with our retail partners in the UK. This includes upselling key modules and supporting new business, to help exceed our team sales targets. They will engage with a variety of retail stakeholders, from operational levels to senior executives and will bring a collaborative approach when working alongside our internal customer success, product and other teams.

The role has three parts to it:

1. Building strong, trusted relationships to position Auror as strategic partner to our retailers:

    • Identify key champion(s), and build a value-adding, close-knit working relationship with them to help set them up for success concerning their own internal goals
    • Act as a trusted advisor on industry trends, best-practice and ways of working with Auror and other partners
    • Build relationships with other key stakeholders across operational, executive and tactical parts of our partners’ businesses
    • Ensure we’re aligned on strategic goals and delivering benefits that help our partners progress towards their goals
    • Prepare for and carry out impactful QBRs with key stakeholders
    • Confidently communicate, discuss and influence stakeholders around new initiatives, product improvements, priorities and upsell opportunities, showcasing the ability to reframe perspectives with partners where required
    • Demonstrate return on investment from Auror to our partners through tactical communication, sharing insights and wins

2. Embed partnerships through strategic planning and execution:

    • Build Strategic Account Plans
    • Support our customer success team in building engagement from our partners, and highlighting opportunities for further utilisation
    • Highlight opportunities for integrations and project manage the deployment of integrations with other loss prevention and security tools, to build greater stickiness and additional benefits to the Auror partnership
    • Be the connective tissue between our product team and partner, by bringing our partners in on discussions around opportunities and facilitating discovery on new modules

3. Grow the partnership:

    • Identify and qualify opportunities to upsell new modules
    • Support the buying process for the partner from qualification through and business case development, to sign-off and deployment
    • Facilitate relationships with third-party suppliers who may be involved in rolling out new technology to support the uptake of new modules (like ANPR)
    • Manage the contract review and renewal process

This role report to Ellen Dick, Director Retail Partnerships - UK

I'm incredibly passionate about partnering with retailers and police to reduce the impact on crime in our community. Since joining Auror almost a decade ago it's been my pleasure to support the growth of our retailer community and our team over that time. With a background in public relations and advertising, I joined Auror in the early stages to support the marketing, customer success, and general commerce functions.

From there I spent a number of years building out our customer success function in Australia and New Zealand before taking up the retail partnership's mantle and leading our major accounts across ANZ. In early 2023 I joined our UK team in a retail partnerships capacity to drive the success and growth of our UK and Irish partnerships. You can check out my LinkedIn here.
